SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage is for anyone, not just ‘sporty’ people or Athletes. It combines deep tissue massage with a detailed understanding of the human body from a sporting context. It can be done for a variety of reasons, when someone has an injury or an increased amount of tension, due to repetitive use of a certain area of their body. For example, a runner may have overexerted their leg muscles or, a painter may have had a week of painting a lot of ceilings and have got a lot of pain in their neck and shoulders.

It aids recovery and provides relief thereafter, at times it can be uncomfortable but most people find it a ‘nice’ discomfort.

Sessions are 1 hour and are carried out in our Treatment Room.

Please note: Jack also does Sports Massage should you prefer a male therapist and he is a full time Physio so should you have a more complex issue/injury then, you are in excellent hands.

“ Clare’s massages are amazing!

I’m a long time back and sciatica sufferer, exacerbated by my work, but regular massages keep me in check and out of pain. Clare takes the time to understand my issues and deals with them professionally and with her usual, delightful charm. Always a joy!! (Even when painful!) ”
